What this MCCB brings to a panel
The Schneider Electric C10N3TM063C is a ComPacT NSX100N moulded-case circuit breaker (MCCB) in the N breaking-capacity tier — 90 kA Icu at 240 V AC, 50 kA at 415 V AC, and still 10 kA at 690 V AC. That's the kind of headroom that keeps a distribution board selective when a downstream fault tries to take out the whole feeder. The 63 A TM-D trip unit gives you thermal-magnetic protection: thermal for overload (L), magnetic for short-circuit (I). No earth-leakage module here — this is a straight distribution breaker, not a residual-current device. Three poles, 3D protected, rated for isolation per IEC 60947-2. That means when you flip the toggle to off, you can work downstream without pulling a separate disconnect — the breaker itself is the safety barrier.
Mounting and integration reality
Backplate mount, front connections both top and bottom. The 105 mm width and 161 mm height fit the standard ComPacT NSX footprint. IP40 front face, IK07 impact resistance.
Current lifecycle stage — this is still an active catalogue number from Schneider.
Durability and thermal budget
Electrical durability: 50,000 cycles at 440 V at half rated current, 30,000 at full In, 20,000 at 690 V half load. Mechanical durability is 50,000 cycles. Power dissipation per pole is 8.61 W — three poles means about 26 W total heat to vent from the enclosure. Rated 63 A at 50 °C ambient. Humidity tolerance 0-95 % non-condensing. Category A utilisation — not intended for motor starting duty where the breaker cycles under high inrush daily.
