The C10N4TM100C is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX100N 4-pole circuit breaker with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit rated 100 A at 50 °C. The TM-D trip provides L (thermal) overload protection and I (magnetic) short-circuit protection, so it covers both sustained overcurrents and fault events with a single device. Mounts on a backplate in either horizontal or vertical orientation, which gives flexibility in tight enclosures. At 415 V AC — the most common industrial distribution voltage in Europe and much of Asia — this unit delivers 50 kA Icu. At 220/240 V AC it rises to 90 kA, and it still holds 10 kA at 690 V AC. It is also suitable for isolation per that standard — meaning when open, it provides a visible-break isolation gap you can rely on for lockout/tagout.
Integration and mounting notes
Mounts on a backplate — no DIN rail clip on this frame. The 4-pole body is 140 mm wide, 161 mm high, and 86 mm deep, with a 35 mm connection pitch between poles. Neutral is on the left. Front connections on both upside and downside mean you can bus-bar or cable directly without rear access. IK07 impact resistance handles incidental tool strikes during panel assembly. Electrical durability is rated at 50,000 cycles at 440 V at half rated current, and 30,000 cycles at full rated current. Mechanical durability is 50,000 cycles. That is typical for a molded-case breaker in distribution duty — not a switching contactor, but fine for occasional manual switching or automatic reclosing in a backup circuit.
