The C10N6TM050C is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX100N circuit breaker — a 4-pole, 50 A thermal-magnetic unit from the ComPacT range, built to EN/IEC 60947-2. The TM-D trip unit gives you two protections in one block: thermal overload (L) and magnetic short-circuit (I). At 50 °C it holds a steady 50 A; the N breaking capacity code means it can interrupt 50 kA at 415 V AC — enough for most industrial distribution boards without cascading upstream.
Breaking capacity — what those numbers actually mean for your panel
The C10N6TM050C carries a 90 kA Icu at 240 V AC and 50 kA at 415 V AC. At 690 V the interrupting rating drops to 10 kA, so if your line runs on 690 V distribution, you need to check coordination with the upstream feeder.
Front connections top and bottom — no rear-access requirement, so it fits standard distribution boards. The 140 mm width and 161 mm height leave room for cable glands and busbar take-offs. IP40 front face keeps dust out; IK07 impact rating handles a tool bump during commissioning.
