The Schneider Electric C12E34V160B is a ComPacT NSXm moulded-case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated 160 A at 40 °C with 3 poles and a 16 kA breaking capacity at 415 V AC (performance level E). It uses a MicroLogic 4.1 electronic trip unit with integrated earth-leakage protection, configurable for Class A or Class AC sensitivity from 30 mA up to 5 A. This makes it a distribution MCCB for panelboards and sub-distribution boards where both overcurrent and earth-fault protection are required in a single device.
Above 40 °C the thermal-magnetic curve derates; the electronic trip unit compensates automatically within its design range. The 3-pole configuration (3P) switches all three phases; for a 3-phase 4-wire system you would need a 4-pole variant. The integrated earth-leakage protection covers both Class A (pulsating DC) and Class AC (sinusoidal AC) fault types, with sensitivity settings from 30 mA (personnel protection) up to 5 A (equipment protection). This eliminates the need for a separate RCCB downstream, saving two modules of DIN space.
At 108 mm wide, 144 mm high, and 80 mm deep (9 module pitches), it fits standard distribution enclosures. IP40 protection (finger-safe) and IK07 impact resistance suit enclosed panel installation.
