The C160N450FM is a fixed-mount, 4-pole ComPacT NS new generation circuit breaker rated 1600 A at 50 °C, built for AC distribution in switchboards and panelboards that require compliance with EN/IEC 60947-2. The 1600 A continuous rating governs the busbar and cable sizing upstream — this breaker does not derate at 50 °C, so the full 1600 A is available at that ambient. The MicroLogic 5.0 electronic trip unit provides LSI protection: long-time overload (L), short-time short-circuit (S) with adjustable time delay for selectivity, and instantaneous (I) for fault clearing. Utilisation category B means the breaker is suitable for distribution with no special current-limiting requirements upstream.
Mounts fixed to a backplate (mounting support: backplate). Front-connected on both upside and downside — all cable or busbar terminations are accessible from the front, which simplifies panel layout and gland-plate planning. Thermal memory of 20 minutes means the trip unit remembers the thermal state of the breaker after a trip, preventing immediate reclose on a hot conductor.
