The Schneider C16B44B160 is a ComPacT NSX160B molded-case circuit breaker, 4-pole, rated 160 A at 40 °C. It carries a MicroLogic 4.2 AB electronic trip unit that combines overload (L), short-time short-circuit (So), instantaneous short-circuit (I), and integrated earth-leakage (R) protection in one package. The breaking capacity is 40 kA Icu at 220/240 V AC and 25 kA Icu at 380/415 V AC, per EN/IEC 60947-2.
Above that, the electronic trip curve derates automatically. The MicroLogic 4.2 AB is a fixed-setting unit — no field-adjustable long-time or short-time pickups — so the protection profile is set at the factory for the 160 A frame. The integrated earth-leakage (R) protection means you don't need a separate RCD module; the breaker itself detects ground faults and trips via the rotary IΔn switch. The 20-minute thermal memory before and after tripping means the breaker remembers a prior overload and shortens the cool-down period, which prevents nuisance re-closing on a still-hot conductor.
Front connection both upside and downside. The 140 mm width and 161 mm height fit standard ComPacT NSX panel cutouts. The IP40 front face keeps out tools and fingers; IK07 impact protection handles incidental knocks during panel assembly.
