The C16H44V100 is a ComPacT NSX160H 4-pole moulded-case circuit breaker (MCCB) with an electronic MicroLogic 4.2 trip unit, rated 100 A at 40 °C. The 4P configuration with left-side neutral and front-front connections suits standard backplate mounting in switchboards or distribution enclosures.
Protection profile and trip unit
The MicroLogic 4.2 electronic trip unit provides L (long-time overload), So (short-time short-circuit with fixed delay), I (instantaneous short-circuit), and R (earth-leakage) protection. The earth-leakage protection is integrated, using the IΔn rotary switch to set the operating mode to OFF.
Breaking capacity across voltage levels
The NSX160H frame delivers 100 kA Icu at 220/240 V AC, 70 kA at 380/415 V AC, 65 kA at 440 V AC, 50 kA at 500 V AC, 35 kA at 525 V AC, and 10 kA at 660/690 V AC, all per IEC 60947-2. Under UL 60947-4-1, it achieves 85 kA at 240 V AC, 65 kA at 480 V AC, and 10 kA at 600 V AC. This voltage-dependent curve means the SCCR you can claim in a panel depends on the line-to-line voltage at the breaker terminals — at 480 V AC, the 65 kA figure is the one to coordinate with downstream devices.
Durability and environmental ratings
Mechanical durability is 40,000 cycles; electrical durability varies by load: 40,000 cycles at 440 V at half rated current, 20,000 cycles at 440 V at full rated current, 15,000 cycles at 690 V at half current, and 7,500 cycles at 690 V at full current. The enclosure is rated IP40 (finger-safe, no water ingress) and IK07 (impact resistance up to 2 J).
