Commissioning engineer's note
The MicroLogic 4.2 electronic trip unit handles overload (L), short-time short-circuit (So) with fixed delay, instantaneous short-circuit (I), and earth-leakage (R) protection — all in one package. Rated 160 A at 40 °C, it delivers 50 kA Icu at 415 V AC per IEC 60947-2, which is the standard industrial distribution fault level for a 400 V panel. The electronic trip means no thermal bi-metals to drift; the 20-minute thermal memory before and after tripping avoids nuisance restarts on reclose.
At 480 V AC (UL 60947-4-1 context) it still holds 50 kA, and at 600 V AC it drops to 10 kA — so for 480 V panels this breaker is well within typical available fault currents. The integrated earth-leakage protection means no separate RCCB module needed; the IΔn rotary switch selects the off position manually.
IP40 enclosure protection (finger-safe), IK07 impact resistance. The toggle control is manual; five accessory slots available for shunt trips, auxiliary contacts, or motor operators.
