The C2544A250 is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX250 electronic trip unit — the MicroLogic 4.2 AL variant rated 250 A at 40 °C. It fits fixed-mount ComPacT NSX100...250 frames and provides LSoI protection (long-time, short-time with fixed delay, instantaneous) plus integrated earth-leakage protection (Class A). The long-time pickup (Ir) is adjustable from 100 to 250 A; short-time pickup (Isd) adjusts from 1.5 to 10 x Ir; instantaneous pickup is fixed at 3000 A. That means you set the overload threshold to match your cable or load, then dial the short-time pickup to coordinate with downstream breakers — selectivity without a separate relay.

The 4-pole design with neutral on the left handles 3D + N/2, 4D, or 3D protection schemes — you pick the neutral protection setting (0.5 x Ir, 1 x Ir, or none) via the trip unit.

Protection logic and signalling

Local signalling includes a green flashing LED for ready state, red LED at 105 % Ir for overload, orange LED at 90 % Ir for pre-alarm, and a yellow indicator for residual current.
