The 2.2 provides L (long-time overload), So (short-time short-circuit with fixed delay), and I (instantaneous short-circuit) protection — the So curve is what sets it apart from a basic thermal-magnetic breaker: it coordinates with downstream devices in a selective distribution scheme, letting a fault on a branch trip the branch breaker without dropping the main.
