At 220/240 V AC it's 40 kA Icu; at 440 V AC it's 30 kA Icu; at 500 V AC it's 25 kA Icu; at 525 V AC it's 20 kA Icu; at 660/690 V AC it's 10 kA Icu. For UL 60947-4-1 applications, it's 85 kA Icu at 240 V AC, 35 kA Icu at 480 V AC, and 20 kA Icu at 600 V AC. This is a Category A breaker — it's not intended for deliberate short-time delay coordination downstream, but the MicroLogic 2.3's So (short-time) protection with fixed delay gives you some selectivity window against downstream instantaneous trips.
Trip unit and protection
The MicroLogic 2.3 electronic trip unit provides L (long-time overload), So (short-time short-circuit with fixed delay), and I (instantaneous) protection. The trip unit is rated 250 A at 40 °C; derate for higher ambient or enclosed mounting. Local signalling includes a flashing green LED for ready-to-operate, a red LED at 105% Ir for overload, and an orange LED at 90% Ir for pre-alarm.
Mounting and environment
Mounts on a backplate in horizontal or vertical orientation, flat on the back. IP40 protects against tools and small wires; IK07 resists 2 J impact. Operates at 0 to 2000 m without derating, 2000 to 5000 m with derating. Relative humidity 0 to 95%.
