Overview

The C40F47E400 is a Schneider ComPacT NSX 4-pole molded case circuit breaker rated 400 A with a 40 kA ICu breaking capacity at 440 V AC, fitted with a MicroLogic 7.3 E electronic trip unit. The trip unit provides L (overload), S (short-time short-circuit), I (instantaneous short-circuit), and R (earth-leakage) protection, plus integrated energy metering and an LCD display for time-stamped event logs and power quality data.

Compared to the 3-pole C40F3 (85 kA ICu, 690 V AC, 800 V insulation), the C40F47E400 trades higher breaking capacity for 4-pole earth-leakage protection at 40 kA ICu and 500 V AC insulation — pick the C40F3 when the BOM requires 3 poles and a higher SCCR, or the C40F47E400 when a 4-pole frame with earth-leakage and metering is needed.

Integration

Fixed-mount chassis with toggle control; the MicroLogic 7.3 E trip unit occupies all six slots, leaving no room for additional auxiliaries without a different frame. Neutral is on the left; the LCD display and LED indicators (ready, overload at 90% and 105% Ir) give local status without a communication module.
