The C60H1P40AB is a 1-pole 40 A miniature circuit breaker from Schneider's Multi9 C60H range, B-curve characteristic. It occupies 2 x 9 mm module pitches (18 mm width) on a 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail, fixed mounting. Breaking capacity is 15 kA Icu at 230...240 V AC (IEC 60947-2), with a corresponding Ics service breaking capacity of 15 kA at 12...440 V AC. At 400...415 V AC the Icu drops to 4 kA, so for three-phase panel feeders this unit is best applied on single-phase branch circuits or as a backup device coordinated with an upstream higher-rated breaker. Rated operational voltage is 440 V AC, insulation voltage 500 V AC, impulse withstand 6 kV.
Tunnel-type terminals accept up to 35 mm² rigid or 25 mm² flexible conductors, strip length 14 mm, tighten to 3.5 N·m. Ambient operating range is -25 to 60 °C, storage -40 to 70 °C, with 95 % RH at 55 °C. Tropicalisation level 2 per IEC 60068-1 means the unit is treated for high-humidity environments — suitable for coastal or unconditioned plant rooms.
