Panel-builder commissioning notes
The Schneider Electric C60H3P63AC is a 3-pole C60H miniature circuit breaker rated 63 A at 30 °C with a C-curve magnetic trip threshold of 5 to 10 times In. That C-curve means it is sized for moderate inrush loads — motor starters, small transformers, lighting banks — where the start-up spike is higher than a resistive load but not as sharp as a B-curve would catch. On a 400 V three-phase distribution board, the 10 kA Icu at 440 V AC (IEC 60947-2) is the fault-clearing limit; the 15 kA Ics at the same voltage is the service rating after a fault — the breaker can be reclosed without replacement after clearing a fault up to that level. The tunnel terminals accept up to 35 mm² rigid or 25 mm² flexible, with a tightening torque of 3.5 N·m and a strip length of 14 mm. For a panel OEM wiring a 63 A feed, that terminal capacity handles the conductor without needing a ferrule or lug adapter. The separate earth-leakage block (Vigi add-on) is ordered separately — this MCB alone provides overcurrent and short-circuit protection only.
The 81 mm height and 73 mm depth fit standard distribution enclosures with a 2-row cutout. The toggle actuator provides local ON/OFF indication and manual isolation; the contact position indicator confirms the state visually through the enclosure door window. The tropicalisation treatment (2 conforming to IEC 60068-1) and 95 % relative humidity rating at 55 °C make it viable for non-conditioned electrical rooms in humid climates. Rated insulation voltage 500 V AC, operational voltage 440 V AC — both at 50/60 Hz. The breaking capacity table covers the common distribution voltages: 30 kA at 230…240 V AC, 15 kA at 400…415 V AC, and 10 kA at 440 V AC. For DC applications, it clears 40 kA at 125 V DC in 3-pole series configuration.

Compared to the C60H-DC variant (same mechanical platform, DC-rated arc chambers), the C60H3P63AC is an AC-optimised breaker. The AC version's magnetic trip thresholds and arc extinction are designed for 50/60 Hz zero-crossing; using it on a DC bus would require derating the breaking capacity per the manufacturer's DC table (listed at 125 V DC only). If your BOM calls for a DC distribution feed, the C60H-DC series is the correct choice — same footprint, different internal arc geometry.
