The Schneider Electric C60H4P40AC is a 4-pole miniature circuit breaker from the Multi9 C60H series, rated at 40 A with a C-curve trip characteristic (magnetic tripping between 5 and 10 times In). The thermal-magnetic trip unit provides overcurrent and short-circuit protection, with a breaking capacity of 10 kA Icn at 230/400 V AC per EN 60898, and higher Icu ratings per IEC 60947-2 (up to 30 kA at 230–240 V AC).
The C60H4P40AC carries a rated breaking capacity (Icn) of 10 kA at 230/400 V AC per EN 60898, which covers most commercial and light industrial panelboard applications. For higher fault-current scenarios, the ultimate breaking capacity (Icu) per IEC 60947-2 reaches 30 kA at 230–240 V AC and 15 kA at 400–415 V AC. The service breaking capacity (Ics) is 7.5 kA at 230/400 V AC per EN 60898, and 15 kA at 230–240 V AC per IEC 60947-2. These ratings allow the breaker to be coordinated downstream of a higher-rated upstream device, maintaining selectivity for branch circuits.
The breaker snaps onto a 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail (EN 60715) and occupies 8 modules of 9 mm pitch, for a total width of 72 mm. The depth of 73 mm and height of 81 mm fit standard distribution enclosures.
