The C60H4P50AD is a 4-pole miniature circuit breaker from the Schneider Multi9 C60 range, rated 50 A at 40 °C with a D-curve magnetic trip (10–14 × In). That D-curve means it tolerates the high inrush of motor, transformer, or welding loads without nuisance tripping — the magnetic release only fires at 10 to 14 times the rated current, so a 50 A breaker won't pop on a 300 A motor start that clears in a few cycles. The 10 kA Icn at 230/400 V AC per EN 60898 is the standard household/commercial interrupting rating; the IEC 60947-2 ratings go higher (up to 50 kA Icu at 250 V DC 4P) for industrial panel duty. Thermal-magnetic trip technology covers both overload (thermal bimetal) and short-circuit (solenoid) protection in one unit.
Snaps onto 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail — standard for any distribution board or industrial enclosure. At 72 mm wide (8 × 9 mm pitches), it occupies four modular spaces, so check your rail fill before slotting it in. The fixed mounting mode and toggle control are straightforward for panel builders; ON/OFF indication and a contact position indicator give a quick visual on status without needing a meter.
EN 60898 covers the household/residential rating (10 kA Icn at 230/400 V), while IEC 60947-2 provides the industrial performance grades (higher Icu values, isolation suitability).
