The Schneider Electric C63V36M500 is a ComPacT NSX630HB1 molded-case circuit breaker with a MicroLogic 6.3 E-M electronic trip unit, rated 500 A at 65 °C. It's built for motor-protection duty (device application: motor protection) and carries a 85 kA Icu breaking capacity at 500 V AC 50/60 Hz per EN/IEC 60947-2. The 3-pole unit (3P) uses a toggle control and an LCD display for local signalling — a flashing green LED for ready status, a red LED at 95 % Ith for overtemperature. The electronic trip unit provides L (long-time overload), So (short-time short-circuit), I (instantaneous), and G (ground-fault) protection, with motor tripping classes 5, 10, 20, and 30 selectable.
At 690 V AC the Icu drops to 75 kA, still substantial for industrial feeders. Mechanical durability is 15000 cycles. That's enough for a motor-starting application where the breaker operates infrequently (a few cycles per day), not for a switching duty that cycles hourly.
Upside and downside connections are front-facing, so it panels into a dead-front switchboard without rear access. Connection pitch is 45 mm. Overvoltage category III suits it for fixed-installation distribution panels. Operating altitude is 0-2000 m without derating, 2000-5000 m with derating.
