The CAD326EDS135: The 48 VDC coil makes this a DC-operated control relay, not an AC contactor — it pulls in on a DC control bus, common in battery-backed or PLC-driven panels where AC coil hum is undesirable. Contact configuration is 3 normally-open and 2 normally-closed poles, giving you five isolated switching paths. The mixed NO/NC arrangement suits interlocking circuits where you need both a seal-in and a safety-break contact from the same relay. Rated 10 A at 600 VAC and 2.5 A at 600 VDC — the DC rating is the limiting factor for inductive loads; at 48 VDC the contact can switch more current than the 600 VDC rating suggests, but the arc-quenching gap is sized for the 600 VDC ceiling. Compliant with IEC 60947-5-1 and EN 60947-5, the control-circuit switching standard that governs contact reliability and electrical endurance for industrial relay outputs.
DIN-rail fit and panel integration
IP2X enclosure provides finger-safe protection against solid objects >12.5 mm but is not sealed against moisture — install inside a cabinet with at least IP54 rating if the environment has condensation or washdown. Ring-tongue terminals require a crimp ring lug on each wire — plan for ring-tongue terminations in your panel bill of materials; they give a vibration-resistant connection compared to ferrules on a screw clamp.
Lifecycle and sourcing — current production, no replacement watch needed
Part of the TeSys series, Schneider's broadest control-relay family, which means compatible accessories (socket bases, clip-on suppressors, mechanical interlocks) are widely available and will remain so.
