The CAD50AFC7 is a TeSys Deca control relay from Schneider Electric, built for switching control circuits in industrial panels. It carries five normally-open (5 NO) pole contacts and is driven by a 127V AC standard coil. Rated for utilisation categories AC-15, AC-14, and DC-13 per EN/IEC 60947-5-1, it handles solenoid valve, contactor coil, and electromagnetic brake loads — the typical inductive control-circuit duty you see in motor starter and PLC output interposing applications. The relay is also certified to UL 60947-5-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-5-1, GB/T 14048.5, and JIS C8201-5-1, so it clears regulatory gates for panels shipping into North America, China, and Japan without a separate component review.
Fit and environment
The 45 mm wide body snaps onto a DIN rail — standard panel-mount footprint for the TeSys Deca range. Front-face protection is IP2X per VDE 0106, meaning finger-safe from the front once installed; the back and sides rely on the enclosure for additional guarding. Ambient operating range is -40 to 60 °C, with derating required above 60 °C up to 70 °C. Storage range extends from -60 to 80 °C. Mechanical shock and vibration ratings are specified per IEC 60068-2-27 and IEC 60068-2-6: the relay withstands 10 Gn shock when open, 15 Gn when closed, and 2 Gn vibration (open) or 4 Gn (closed) across 5–300 Hz. That covers most industrial machinery vibration profiles without needing a separate anti-vibration mount.
Because it is an active, widely-stocked part in the TeSys Deca family, it cross-references cleanly into existing BOMs without a substitution review. No pin-compatible alternative is needed; the relay is the current build standard for 5 NO control relays with a 127V AC coil.
