The Schneider CAD50AND is a control relay from the TeSys Deca range, built for switching control circuits in industrial panels. It carries five normally-open poles rated for operational voltages up to 690V, with a 60V DC standard coil. The snap-in terminals simplify panel wiring — no separate base needed, just clip it onto the DIN rail and land the wires. Rated for utilisation categories AC-15, AC-14, and DC-13 per EN/IEC 60947-5-1, so it handles solenoid loads, electromagnetic clutches, and contactor coils — typical control-circuit inductive loads — not power switching. AC-15 covers the inductive AC pilot duty. Storage range is -60 to 80 °C. Altitude rating to 3000 m without derating.
Mechanical and environmental robustness
Rated for 10 Gn shocks for 11 ms when open, 15 Gn when closed, and vibration resistance of 2 Gn (open) and 4 Gn (closed) across 5–300 Hz per IEC 60068-2-27 and IEC 60068-2-6. That means it holds its state under moderate machine vibration — fine for a panel on a conveyor line or pump skid, but not rated for direct mounting on a high-vibration press. Protective treatment is TH conforming to IEC 60068 — tropicalized for heat and humidity. If the panel lives in a non-conditioned space in Southeast Asia or a Gulf-state plant, this relay won't corrode prematurely.
