The DPE50B7: The 50 A rating (AC-1/AC-3) is the headline — it tells you this contactor can carry 50 A continuously in resistive duty and switch motor loads up to that current. For motor applications, the real selection number is the horsepower table: 30 HP at 460/480 V AC three-phase, or 10 HP at 230 V. The insulation voltage (Ui) is rated 690 V per IEC 60947-4-1, so it's comfortable on 480 V systems with margin. The 24 V AC coil draws from a control transformer; verify the coil's inrush doesn't exceed your PLC output or relay rating.
Mounts on a rail or plate (Mounting Support: Rail Plate). Dimensions are 4.8 x 2.2 x 4.8 inches (122 x 55 x 122 mm) — fits a standard panel footprint. Power circuit terminals accept screw connections for 2.5 to 25 mm² flexible or solid wire, with separate torque specs for larger (7 N·m) and smaller (5 N·m) conductors. Control circuit terminals are screw clamp, 1 to 4 mm². No special tools beyond a Pozidriv #2 or flat 6 mm driver.
