Switch disconnector for distribution, 1600 A AC-23A
The Schneider Electric ENW13287 is a fixed-mount switch disconnector from the EasyPact NW range, rated 1600 A in AC-23A duty at 440 V AC. Three-pole configuration (3P), rear-connected, with a vertical or horizontal connection orientation. The 70 mm connection pitch without spreader matches standard busbar layouts in distribution switchboards. Rated insulation voltage 1000 V AC and impulse withstand 12 kV give it headroom for 690 V systems even though the operational voltage here is 440 V.
Short-circuit performance and isolation
Rated short-time withstand current (Icw) is 50 kA for 1 s at 220–440 V, and the rated short-circuit making capacity (Icm) is 75 kA at the same voltage. These numbers govern selectivity coordination with upstream protection — the switch must pass fault current for the clearing time of the upstream breaker without welding or degrading. Suitable for isolation per IEC 60947-3, with a visible contact position indicator. That means it can serve as a load-break disconnect with a positive indication of open contacts, satisfying the safety isolation requirement for downstream maintenance.
IP30 protection means it's not intended for washdown environments — install inside a switchboard or enclosure rated for the ambient conditions. Mechanical durability: 20,000 cycles with maintenance, 10,000 without. Electrical durability for AC-23A duty at 440 V is 5,000 cycles without maintenance. These are the life-cycle numbers for planning spares and maintenance intervals on a high-cycle distribution switch. Mounts on a rail base plate (fixed mounting support).
