Closing coil for EasyPact NW air circuit breakers
The Schneider Electric ENW15511 is a closing coil for the EasyPact NW range of air circuit breakers. It is an electrically operated, maintained-control coil that closes the breaker when its control voltage is applied. Rated for 110/130 V AC/DC at 50/60 Hz, it draws 200 VA (200 W) inrush for 200 ms and settles to 4.5 VA (4.5 W) holding power — the inrush figure matters for sizing the control transformer feeding it.
The 200 VA inrush spike (200 ms) is the key load on the control supply — a transformer or power supply must handle that transient without dropping below the coil's operating threshold of 0.85...1.1 Un. The 4.5 W holding power is negligible once the breaker is closed. The closing coil operates on a maintained signal (voltage present = closed; removed = open), which is standard for remote closing via a pushbutton or PLC output. The 70 ms response time at all current ratings (100 A through 4000 A) means the breaker closes in under a tenth of a second from signal application.
