Trip unit identity and protection scope
The Schneider Electric ENW15556 is a Trip System 2.0S microprocessor-based control unit for the EasyPact NW range of air circuit breakers. It provides overload (long-time) and instantaneous short-circuit protection (LI characteristic) for standard industrial applications. The trip unit covers a 630–6300 A rating range, with a long-time pickup adjustable 0.4–1 × In (Off position available) and instantaneous pickup adjustable 1.5–10 × Ir.
Mounts in drawout or fixed EasyPac NW breaker frames. Dimensions: 58 mm wide × 200 mm high × 77 mm deep. The control unit sits on the left-side neutral position and accepts 3P or 4P poles. Neutral protection setting is configurable: no protection (3D), 0.5 × Ir (3D + N/2), or 1 × Ir (4D). Long-time delay adjustable 0.5–24 s at 6 × Ir. Instantaneous pickup offers 10 adjustable settings.
Diagnostics and communication
Status LED with green, red, and orange health bar plus a green ready indicator. Fault indication covers overload, internal fault, and short-circuit. Data recording includes alarm, event, and trip logs. Thermal memory is enabled. Communication via NFC (peer-to-peer wireless) and USB Type-C (peer-to-peer). Powered by a lithium non-rechargeable battery. Control button marked I.
