The Schneider Electric ENW21419 is a microprocessor-based control unit for the EasyPact NW range of air circuit breakers. The trip unit rating spans 800 to 4000 A, making it suitable for main or feeder breaker duty in large switchboards.
Rated operational voltage of 690 V AC conforming to IEC 60947-2 means this unit is certified for the standard industrial voltage level up to 690 V phase-to-phase. The trip unit rating of 800-4000 A covers the full range of EasyPact NW frame sizes; the actual setting is configured by the user. LSIG protection functions (overload, short-time, instantaneous, earth fault) are all adjustable — long-time pick-up (Ir) has 9 settings from 0.4 to 1 x In, short-time pick-up (Isd) has 9 settings from 1.5 to 10 x Ir, and instantaneous pick-up (Ii) has 9 settings from 2 to 15 x In. The ground-fault pick-up (Ig) ranges from 0.2 to 1 x In for frames up to 1000 A, and 500 to 1200 A for frames 1250 A and above. This adjustability lets the protection engineer coordinate the breaker with downstream devices without swapping hardware. Zone selective interlocking (ZSI) is built in, meaning this unit can communicate with upstream and downstream breakers to reduce arcing fault energy while maintaining selectivity.
The control unit mounts via drawout mechanism into the EasyPact NW breaker cradle. Drawout mounting allows the unit to be racked out for maintenance or replacement without de-energizing the bus — standard for main breakers in industrial switchgear where uptime matters. The physical dimensions are 200 mm height, 55 mm width, and 75 mm depth, fitting the standard EasyPact NW cutout. The digital display provides local readout of metering data (energy, current, voltage) and fault indication for short-circuit, earth fault, internal fault, and overload.
