Trip System 5.0A — LSI protection for EasyPact NW
The Schneider Electric ENW21425 is a microprocessor-based control unit for the EasyPact NW range of air circuit breakers. It carries the Trip System 5.0A designation and provides LSI protection: long-time overload, short-time short-circuit, and instantaneous short-circuit, plus earth-fault indication. The rating spans 800…4000 A at 690 V AC 50/60 Hz, compliant with IEC 60947-2. The unit offers adjustable long-time pickup from 0.4 to 1 x In across nine settings, long-time delay from 0.5 to 24 s at 6 x Ir, short-time pickup from 1.5 to 10 x Ir with delay from 100 to 400 ms, and instantaneous pickup from 2 to 15 x In. Zone selective interlocking (ZSI) is included, which coordinates downstream breakers to clear a fault at the nearest device without waiting for the upstream delay. A digital display shows instantaneous and maximum current per phase (I1, I2, I3, In) with ±1.5 % accuracy, and the unit logs fault type — short-circuit, overload, internal fault, earth fault.
