Control unit for EasyPact NW — Trip System 5.0E
The Schneider Electric ENW21426 is a microprocessor-based control unit for the EasyPact NW range of air circuit breakers. It carries the Trip System 5.0E designation and provides LSI protection — long-time, short-time, and instantaneous — with a trip unit rating adjustable from 800 A to 4000 A. The unit supports 4P and 3P pole configurations with neutral position on the left, and offers selectable neutral protection settings: 3D (no protection), 3D + N/2 (0.5 × Ir), or 4D (1 × Ir).
Protection and coordination
Long-time pick-up (Ir) is adjustable across 0.4–1 × In with nine settings, and the long-time delay (Tr) ranges from 0.5 to 24 seconds at 6 × Ir, accuracy 0 to −20%. Short-time pick-up (Isd) adjusts from 1.5 to 10 × Ir with nine settings, and the short-time delay (Tsd) is selectable from 100 to 400 ms. Instantaneous pick-up (Ii) covers 2–15 × In, also with nine settings, and can be switched off. Zone selective interlocking (ZSI) is built in, allowing the trip unit to communicate with upstream and downstream breakers for faster fault clearing while maintaining selectivity.
Monitoring and indication
The unit includes a digital display and an energy meter for local measurement. Fault indication covers internal fault, overload, short-circuit, and earth fault conditions.
