Closing coil for EasyPact NW — what it does
The ENW21527 is a closing coil from the Schneider Electric EasyPact NW range, device short name XF. It is an electrically operated control component that provides a maintained control signal to close the main contacts of an EasyPact NW air circuit breaker or switch-disconnector. Rated for a 24/30 V DC control circuit, the coil draws 4.5 W (4.5 VA) holding power once the breaker is closed. This is the steady-state load the control transformer or DC supply must support after the initial inrush — a key number for sizing the control power source in the panel. Mounting is fixed (not plug-in), so the coil is wired directly into the breaker mechanism. The fixed mount means the coil stays with the breaker frame during maintenance swaps — the replacement breaker must carry its own coil or the existing coil must be transferred.
Integration into the EasyPact NW frame
The coil mounts into the EasyPact NW breaker's control mechanism. Verify the control transformer secondary matches the coil voltage before commissioning. The 4.5 VA holding power is low enough that a standard control transformer can support multiple coils and auxiliary loads on the same circuit.
