Rating and application context
The Schneider Electric ENW24108 is a 3-pole air circuit breaker from the EasyPact NW range, rated 4000 A at 40 °C with a breaking capacity of 55 kA Icu at 220...440 V AC and 42 kA Icu at 690 V AC, per IEC 60947-2. The drawout mounting allows the breaker to be racked out for maintenance or replacement without disturbing the bus connections, a standard requirement for switchgear lineups where uptime matters.
Withstand and coordination
The short-time withstand current (Icw) is 55 kA for 1 s at 220...440 V and 42 kA for 1 s at 690 V, with a 3 s rating of 30 kA at 440/690 V. This Icw value is the one you size selective coordination against — if the downstream breaker clears a fault within 1 s, this breaker must hold closed without damage.
Integration notes
Drawout mounting with rear connections — the breaker slides into a fixed cradle with horizontal or vertical connection orientation. The 115 mm connection pitch without spreader matches standard switchgear bus spacing.
