The ENW24147 is a 3-pole EasyPact NW air circuit breaker rated 3200 A at 40 °C, built to IEC 60947-2 for distribution duty. The Ics (service breaking capacity) is 65 kA at the same voltage, meaning after clearing a 65 kA fault it's still usable, not a one-shot device. For a 3200 A main breaker feeding a plant switchboard, that's the selectivity headroom you need to avoid a blackout on a downstream fault. Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V AC, operational voltage 690 V AC. Impulse withstand is 12 kV. Pollution degree 4 per IEC 60664-1 — that's the industrial worst case: conductive dust or condensation.
Deployment context
This is a fixed-mount breaker on a base plate, not a draw-out cradle. Rear-connected, horizontal or vertical orientation. Dimensions are 422 mm wide × 352 mm high × 297 mm deep — plan your enclosure depth accordingly. Connection pitch is 115 mm without spreader.
Mechanical and electrical endurance
Mechanical durability: 20,000 cycles with maintenance, 10,000 without. Electrical endurance at 440 V: 5000 cycles Category B without maintenance; at 690 V: 2500 cycles. Maximum breaking time 25 ms, closing response 70 ms. For a main breaker that may see only a few operations a year, that endurance is generous — the maintenance interval is the real constraint.
