The 1600 A rated current (In) at 40 °C sets the continuous load it can carry in a typical 40 °C enclosure ambient. If your panel runs hotter, you'll need to derate — the IEC 60947-2 standard governs that curve. At 690 V the Icu drops to 50 kA, so verify your system voltage against that ceiling. The IP40 enclosure keeps out tools and debris larger than 1 mm but is not washdown-rated; mount it inside a panel or enclosure for wet-area duty.
Fixed mounting on a base plate, rear connection with a 115 mm pitch without spreader. The 537 mm width, 352 mm height, and 297 mm depth mean it needs a substantial cutout in the panel floor — plan for a dedicated compartment, not a shared DIN-rail section. Neutral position is left; the 4P 4d configuration protects all poles including the neutral. Push-button control with a contact position indicator gives local status without opening the door.
