The ENW24169 is a Schneider Electric EasyPact NW switch disconnector, rated 2000 A in AC-23A duty at 690 V AC, 50/60 Hz. It is a 3-pole drawout unit with rear connection, designed for distribution applications where a visible-break isolating switch is required. The 2000 A rating at 690 V covers large feeders, main incomers, and generator or transformer disconnection points in LV switchboards. It is certified as suitable for isolation per IEC 60947-3, so it provides a visible-break gap that meets safety rules for lockout/tagout.
Rated short-time withstand (Icw) is 50 kA for 1 s or 25 kA for 3 s. That tells you how much fault current the switch can carry until an upstream breaker clears it — critical for selectivity coordination in a main LV distribution board. Rated short-circuit making capacity (Icm) is 105 kA peak at 50/60 Hz. This is the peak asymmetrical current the switch can close onto without welding or damage — relevant when closing onto a faulted bus. Electrical durability in AC-23A is 6000 cycles at 440 V and 4000 cycles at 690 V without maintenance. Mechanical durability is 20000 cycles with maintenance, 10000 without. That puts it in the heavy-duty industrial range — not a daily-operating switch, but one that handles regular process starts.
Mounting and integration — drawout, rear-connected
Drawout mounting means the switch chassis slides into a fixed cradle. This allows the moving portion to be withdrawn for inspection or replacement without disturbing the main bus connections — a standard requirement for main incomers in switchgear that needs to stay live upstream. Rear connection, horizontal or vertical orientation. Connection pitch is 115 mm without a spreader. That matches common busbar centres in LV switchgear from 2000 A upwards. IP40 protection — no tool access to live parts, but not sealed against water. This is a panel-interior device, not for outdoor or washdown locations.
The ENW24169 remains a current catalog item in the EasyPact NW range. Standards compliance includes IEC 60947-3 (switch-disconnector requirements) and IEC 60664-1 (insulation coordination for pollution degree 4). Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 1000 V AC; rated impulse withstand (Uimp) is 12 kV. Ambient conditions inside a typical IP40 switchboard are well within these limits.
