The ENW24189 is a Schneider Electric EasyPact NW switch disconnector rated for 800 A in AC-23A duty at 690 V AC. Four poles, fixed-mount base plate, rear-connected. IP40 enclosure keeps it suited for indoor panel installation where washdown isn't a concern.
Withstand and making capacity
Rated short-time withstand current (Icw) is 50 kA for 1 second, or 25 kA for 3 seconds, per IEC 60947-3. That's the fault current the switch can carry until an upstream breaker clears — critical for selectivity coordination in a distribution board. The rated short-circuit making capacity (Icm) is 105 kA peak at 50/60 Hz, meaning it can close onto a bolted fault without welding contacts. Insulation voltage (Ui) is 1000 V AC, impulse withstand (Uimp) 12 kV — pollution degree 4 per IEC 60664-1, so it's rated for harsh internal panel environments with conductive dust or condensation.
Mechanical durability: 20,000 cycles with maintenance, 10,000 without. Electrical durability in AC-23A is 6,000 cycles at 440 V and 4,000 cycles at 690 V — those are the contact wear limits for motor-switching duty. The switch is marked as suitable for isolation per IEC 60947-3, with a visible contact position indicator, so it doubles as a service-disconnect means for a panel. Continuous rated duty, no derating required for sustained load.
Mounts fixed to a base plate; connection pitch is 115 mm without spreader. Neutral position is left. No DIN-rail clip here — this is a bolted-down distribution-class switch, sized for a panel floor or mounting plate.
