The Schneider Electric ENW24218 is a 4-pole switch disconnector from the EasyPact NW range, rated 2500 A in AC-23A utilisation category at 690 V AC. That AC-23A duty covers switching motor loads and other highly inductive circuits — not just resistive heating — so the 2500 A figure is the real motor-switching current, not a derated resistive number. The H breaking capacity code and the 143 kA rated short-circuit making capacity (Icm) tell you this unit can close onto a fault without welding contacts, which matters for distribution incoming or generator coupling where fault levels are high.
