That 2000 A continuous rating governs the main feeder it can protect — sized for a large distribution board or a transformer secondary, not branch circuits. At 690 V the Icu drops to 42 kA — still high, but the derating matters if your system runs at 690 V line-to-line. The Ics (service breaking capacity) matches the Icu at both voltage levels — 50 kA at 440 V, 42 kA at 690 V. That means after clearing a fault at its full rating the breaker is still rated to carry and switch its load current; you don't automatically need to replace it after a single high-energy event.
Drawout integration and panel fit
Drawout mounting means the breaker chassis stays wired to the bus; the moving portion slides in and out for maintenance or replacement without disturbing the power connections. The rear connection position and horizontal/vertical orientation options give flexibility in switchgear layout, but the 556 mm width, 439 mm height, and 395 mm depth set the cubicle cutout — verify your existing drawout cradle dimensions before specifying.
Designed to IEC 60947-2 for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear — the standard that governs air circuit breakers globally. Insulation voltage rated 1000 V AC, impulse withstand 12 kV.
