The ENW24240 is a 1600 A air circuit breaker from the EasyPact NW range, built for main distribution boards and large industrial feeders. At 690 V AC the Icu drops to 42 kA, which still covers most 690 V motor-control centers. The Ics (service breaking capacity) matches the Icu at both voltage levels, so you can reclose after a fault at full rating without derating the breaker — that's Category B utilization, meaning it's designed for sustained service in high-fault environments, not just backup protection. The 1600 A continuous rating is at 40 °C ambient. If your switchroom runs hotter — say 50 °C — you'll need to derate per the manufacturer's curve, which is standard for any air breaker this size.
