The Schneider Electric ENW24254 is a 4-pole EasyPact NW air circuit breaker rated for 1000 A at 40 °C, built to IEC 60947-2. The 65 kA service breaking capacity (Ics) at the same voltage tells you it can clear a fault and still be reclosed without maintenance, which is what you want for a main breaker in a continuous-process plant where a nuisance trip can't mean a half-day swap. The short-time withstand rating (Icw) of 65 kA for 1 second at 440 V supports selectivity coordination downstream.
The push-button control on the front gives you local open/close without reaching for a separate switch. Neutral position is on the right, which matters when you're laying out busbars in a common enclosure.
Durability and maintenance cycles
Mechanical durability is 20,000 cycles with maintenance, 10,000 without — that's a lot of operations for a 1000 A frame, so it's fine for switching a capacitor bank or a large motor infrequently. Electrical durability is 6,000 cycles at 440 V AC without maintenance per IEC 60947-2, dropping to 4,000 cycles at 690 V AC. The 25 ms maximum breaking time is fast enough to limit arc energy in a bolted fault.
