Switch disconnector, 1600 A, drawout — EasyPact NW
The Schneider Electric ENW24264 is a 4-pole switch disconnector from the EasyPact NW range, rated 1600 A in AC-23A utilization category at 690 V AC. Drawout mounting lets the chassis slide out of the cradle for maintenance without disturbing the power wiring — a standard arrangement for switchgear where the disconnect needs to be racked out for safe access. The rear connection with a 115 mm pitch without spreader matches common busbar or cable-box layouts in low-voltage switchboards.
Rated short-time withstand current (Icw) is 50 kA for 1 s or 25 kA for 3 s. That tells you the switch can carry fault current for that duration without welding or damage, which is the key figure for downstream coordination with a circuit breaker or fuse — the upstream protective device must clear within those limits. The rated short-circuit making capacity (Icm) of 105 kA AC means it can close onto an existing fault and survive; this matters when the switch is used as a main disconnect that may be closed onto a bolted fault downstream. Pollution degree 4 per IEC 60664-1 is the highest severity — conductive dust or condensation is expected, so the creepage distances are designed for harsh industrial environments.
