The ENW24275 is a 4-pole switch disconnector from the Schneider Electric EasyPact NW range, rated for 3200 A in AC-23A duty at 690 V AC. It's certified to IEC 60947-3, the standard for switch-disconnectors and load-break switches, and carries a suitability-for-isolation marking, which means it provides visible isolation for safe maintenance access.
Rated short-time withstand current (Icw) is 50 kA for 1 second or 25 kA for 3 seconds — this tells you the switch can hold closed under fault current long enough for an upstream breaker to clear the fault, without welding or failing. The rated short-circuit making capacity (Icm) is 105 kA at AC, meaning it can close onto an existing fault and survive that peak asymmetrical current. Both figures are at the full operating temperature range of -5 to 70 °C. The 4-pole configuration with neutral on the right is fixed — the neutral position is not field-reversible. Connection is rear-mounted, vertical or horizontal orientation, with a 115 mm connection pitch without spreader.
Where this class of part is used
Switch disconnectors of this class serve as the main incoming isolation and load-break device in low-voltage switchboards, motor control centres, and distribution panels. The 3200 A rating places it at the main feeder level for large industrial plants, data centres, or commercial building services where high fault currents and continuous duty are the norm. The continuous duty rating means it's designed to carry rated current indefinitely without derating — not just for occasional switching.
