The ENW24289 is a 4-pole switch disconnector from the EasyPact NW range, rated for distribution duty and built to IEC 60947-3. It is certified for isolation (suitability for isolation conforming to IEC 60947-3), so it can safely disconnect a circuit for maintenance or emergency stop. Its headline rating is 2000 A in AC-23A utilisation category at 690 V AC 50/60 Hz — that means it handles the high inrush of motor or inductive loads on switching, not just resistive. AC-23A is the heavy-duty motor-switching class; the 2000 A figure is the operational current at that duty. The switch is fixed-mounted on a base plate, with rear horizontal/vertical connection positions and a right-side neutral. The 115 mm connection pitch without spreader sets the busbar layout.
Rated short-time withstand current (Icw) is 66 kA for 1 s or 36 kA for 3 s — this tells you the switch can survive a fault current of that magnitude long enough for an upstream breaker to clear. The rated short-circuit making capacity (Icm) is 143 kA peak at 50/60 Hz, which is the peak current it can close into without welding contacts. IP40 protection means the enclosure keeps out tools and wires over 1 mm but is not sealed against water — suitable for indoor panel installation, not washdown areas.
