Built to IEC 60898-1, it breaks 4.5 kA at both 230 V and 400 V AC (50/60 Hz).
C-curve and trip behaviour
The C-curve magnetic trip fires between 5 and 10 times the rated current — so for this 50 A breaker, instantaneous trip occurs between 250 A and 500 A. That suits loads with moderate inrush: lighting banks, small motor circuits, and general-purpose socket outlets. The thermal-magnetic element handles the overload side; the bimetal strip tracks the 50 A continuous rating and trips on sustained overcurrent.
Installation and wiring notes
Top or bottom entry accepts 1 to 25 mm² flexible cable or 1 to 35 mm² rigid; tighten to 3.5 N·m. Pollution degree 2 (normal indoor, non-condensing). The tropicalisation class 2 means it handles humidity up to 95 % across that temperature span — relevant if the board sits in a damp basement or coastal plant room.
No need to cross-grade to a different series unless you need a higher breaking capacity (the Easy9 range tops at 6 kA in some variants) or a different curve.
