It protects final-distribution circuits against overloads and short circuits using a thermal-magnetic trip unit. Breaking capacity is 4.5 kA Icn at both 230 V and 400 V AC, 50/60 Hz, per IEC 60898-1; the service breaking capacity (Ics) is the same 4.5 kA at 400 V, so it clears a fault at full rated interrupting duty without requiring replacement after a single event. That's a solid spec for a residential or light-commercial distribution board.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, 8 modules wide at 9 mm pitch (72 mm total width). Depth is 66.5 mm, height 81 mm. Tunnel-type terminals top and bottom accept 1 to 25 mm² rigid or 1 to 16 mm² flexible cable; tightening torque is 2 N·m. Pollution degree 2, tropicalisation class 2, storage from -40 to 85 °C, operation from -25 to 60 °C at up to 95% relative humidity. That covers most indoor electrical rooms and enclosures without active climate control.
