What it is and what the ratings mean
The Schneider Electric EZ9F53132 is a 1-pole miniature circuit breaker from the Easy9 range, rated 32 A with a C-curve trip characteristic. The C-curve means the magnetic trip operates at 8.5 x In (±20 %), so it handles moderate inrush from motor starters or small transformers without nuisance tripping, while still clearing a hard short fast. The 3 kA breaking capacity (Icu) at 230 V AC is sized for residential and light commercial distribution boards where the prospective fault current stays under that level — typical for a sub-distribution board fed by a larger upstream breaker.
Where it goes and how it mounts
Clip-on mounting on a standard DIN rail (35 mm per EN 60715). At 18 mm wide (1 module pitch), it takes up one slot in a distribution board. The tunnel-type terminals accept up to 35 mm² rigid or flexible copper — enough for the 32 A outgoing circuit. Tightening torque is 3.5 N·m on both line and load sides. IP20 finger-safe terminals are fine inside an enclosed panel; no washdown rating here.
