Its thermal-magnetic trip unit triggers magnetically at 8.5 x In ±20 %, and the 4000 V impulse withstand and IP20 finger-safe terminals suit it for residential and light commercial panelboards.
Selection and sizing
At 16 A, the C-curve holds up to 5 x In for short-circuit coordination with downstream loads; the 3 kA Icu matches typical utility fault levels in South African distribution boards. Tunnel terminals accept 1…25 mm² rigid or flexible copper, torqued to 2 N.m top or bottom — sufficient for 16 A feeder tails without oversizing the lug.
