It protects against sinusoidal AC earth faults only — Type AC classification per IEC 61008-1 means it does not detect pulsating DC or smooth DC fault currents, so specify Type A or Type B for variable-speed drive or UPS-fed circuits. The 4-pole (4P) configuration switches all live conductors including neutral, with the neutral position on the left. Breaking and making capacity is 630 A, and it can handle a surge current of 250 A.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail (35 mm per EN 60715) — the 72 mm width occupies 4 modular pitches at 18 mm spacing between phases. IP20 finger-safe terminals accept 1–35 mm² rigid or 1–25 mm² flexible cable in tunnel-type terminals top or bottom; tightening torque is 3.5 N·m. Rated for indoor panel use in residential and small commercial outgoing circuits. Ambient operating temperature range -25 to 60 °C, storage -40 to 85 °C, with 95 % relative humidity at 55 °C. Pollution degree 2 (non-conductive pollution only, occasional condensation).
