What this breaker does on the line
The Schneider Electric EZC100H1040 is a 1-pole thermal-magnetic circuit breaker from the EasyPact EZC100H series, rated 40 A at 50 °C (TM-D trip unit). It's built for distribution applications where you need short-circuit and overload protection in a single-pole format — think lighting panels, small transformers, control circuit feeds. The 25 mm width per pole keeps the rail density high.
At 125 V DC (1-pole) it's rated 10 kA Icu. The 'H' breaking capacity code tells you this is the higher-interrupting variant in the EZC100 family; the standard version would be lower.
Fixed backplate mount — no DIN rail adapter on this one, so plan for a drilled panel or a sub-plate. Front connections both top and bottom, with a toggle actuator and positive contact indication so you can see the state without opening the panel.
Designed and tested to IEC 60947-2, plus JIS C8201-2-2 and GB/T 14048.2 (Chinese GB standard). Rated insulation voltage 690 V AC, operational voltage up to 415 V AC or 125 V DC. Pollution degree 3, which covers industrial environments with conductive pollution. No earth-leakage protection built in; that's a separate module.
