63 A MCCB with 100 kA interrupting capacity — what that means for your panel
The Schneider Electric EZCV250H3063 is a 3-pole EasyPact EZCV250H molded case circuit breaker rated 63 A at 40 °C with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit. Its headline breaking capacity is 100 kA Icu at 220–240 V AC, 36 kA at 380–415 V AC, and 25 kA at 440 V AC — all per IEC 60947-2. For a distribution board fed from a large transformer or a utility service entrance, that high SCCR saves you from cascading an upstream breaker or adding current-limiting fuses.
Trip unit and protection scope
The TM-D trip unit is thermal-magnetic — the thermal bimetal handles overloads (inverse-time curve), the magnetic solenoid handles short-circuits (instantaneous). This unit also integrates earth-leakage protection, so a single device covers overload, short-circuit, and ground-fault on the same 3-pole frame. That simplifies panel wiring: no separate RCCB or GFCI downstream for the feeder.
Fixed-mount via backplate, 105 mm wide × 165 mm tall × 68 mm deep. Connection pitch is 35 mm — standard for 3-pole MCCB busbar systems. IP20 finger-safe on the front face, IK07 impact resistance. Mounts in a standard distribution enclosure or switchboard — no DIN-rail adapter, it bolts directly to the backplate.
