What It Is & Where It Fits
The EZESHT400AC is a shunt trip release (SHT) from the Schneider Electric EasyPact range, designed for the EZC250 and EZCV250 molded-case circuit breaker families. Its job is remote tripping: when the control voltage is applied, the release mechanically trips the breaker, opening the power circuit. This is standard for emergency-stop circuits, remote shutdown, or undervoltage protection schemes in industrial control panels.
Verify your control voltage matches before specifying. The operating threshold is 0.7 Un tripping — the release will reliably trip when the control voltage drops to 70% of its rated voltage. This is a standard undervoltage-release characteristic; it ensures the breaker opens before the control voltage sags enough to cause contactor dropout or logic faults. Connection is via lead wires (flying leads), not a terminal block. Plan for wire management inside the panel — the leads need to reach the breaker's shunt-trip terminals and be secured against vibration.
Sourcing Decision
Because this part is obsolete, it is not available through standard Schneider distribution. We source it from our network of independent suppliers and surplus channels. Submit an RFQ for current pricing and availability; we confirm both at quote time.
