Obsolete — sourcing through independent channels
The GBX0800321402F: It is available through independent surplus and broker channels, not from the factory.
32:1 planetary reduction, 120 N·m continuous
The GBX0800321402F is an 80 mm-diameter planetary gearbox with a 32:1 reduction ratio and straight-cut teeth. It delivers 120 N·m (1062 lbf·in) continuous output torque at 100 rpm and 30 °C, with a maximum intermittent torque of 192 N·m (1699 lbf·in) under the same conditions. Rated torsional backlash is 14 arc-minutes — acceptable for general positioning but not for high-precision servo applications where sub-arc-min backlash is required.
Efficiency, noise, and service life
Efficiency is listed at 94%, meaning 6% of input power is lost as heat through the gear mesh and bearings. At 120 N·m output, the thermal loss is about 48 W — this gearbox runs warm but does not need external cooling in most duty cycles. Noise level is 60 dB at 1 m under no-load conditions — roughly the level of a quiet office conversation. Under load the noise will rise, but the straight-tooth design is inherently noisier than helical gearing at higher speeds. Service life is rated 30,000 hours at 100 rpm and 30 °C. The gearbox is lubricated for life, so no maintenance oil changes are needed over that interval.
Mounting, shaft loads, and environmental limits
Shaft output seal is rated IP54 — splash-proof but not submersible. The housing is black anodized aluminium; the output shaft is C45 carbon steel. Maximum axial force on the output shaft is 1200 N for a 10,000-hour life at 30 °C, derated to 900 N for the full 30,000-hour service life. Maximum radial force (mid-span on the shaft) is 950 N for 10,000 hours, 650 N for 30,000 hours. This covers most indoor industrial environments but not freezer or high-temp oven applications.
