Torque ratings and duty cycle
The GBX1200030702F delivers a continuous output torque of 115 N.m (1017.8 lbf.in) at 100 rpm and 30 °C, with a maximum output torque of 184 N.m (1628.5 lbf.in) under the same conditions — the margin between continuous and peak is 60 %, which covers transient overloads on indexing or reversing drives provided the duty cycle stays within the thermal limits of the lubricated-for-life grease pack.
Sourcing runs through independent surplus and broker channels; quantities are lot-specific and confirmed at RFQ. The 30,000-hour service life at 100 rpm and 30 °C means a unit already in the field may be approaching its grease-life limit, so a replacement sourced now should be treated as a like-for-like spare, not a long-term stockpile item.
Mechanical interface and environmental sealing
The gearbox carries a shaft-output IP54 rating — the housing seals against dust ingress and splashing water at the output shaft, but the input side and breather (if any) are not covered by that rating, so mounting orientation and coupling alignment matter: a misaligned coupling loads the output shaft radially, and the maximum radial force Fr is 1500 N at 100 rpm for the 30,000-hour life, rising to 2000 N for a 10,000-hour duty. Axial force Fa is capped at 2100 N for the long-life case, 2800 N for the short-life case. The housing is black anodised aluminium, 120 mm external diameter, with C45 steel shafts. Torsional rigidity is 12 N.m/arcmin, and maximum torsional backlash is 8 arc.min — this backlash figure matters for positioning accuracy in start-stop or reversing applications; if the load reverses direction, the 8 arc-min of lost motion must be absorbed by the downstream mechanism or compensated in the control loop.
